Continuing Medical Education Programs

The "Application for Continuing Medical Education Program Approval" form (PDF format) must be completed and returned with a $100 fee before your program will be reviewed by the Board.   To obtain approval, your program must meet the requirements set forth in the California Code of Regulations section 1399.671, Criteria for Approval of Courses.

Please note that programs approved by other organizations specified under California´s regulations governing podiatric medicine do not need to apply for program approval from this board. These organizations are listed in the fact sheet "Information on Continuing Competence", as items 1–4.

The Podiatric Medical Board of California only approves continuing medical education courses that are scientific in content and relate directly to patient care. Courses in other subjects such as tax planning, practice management or risk management are not approved for credit by this board.
